“Recomended For You” Pop Up

A lot of computers have been infected by pop ups and redirectors in browsers like windows internet explorer firefox and Google chrome. Some browsers have combated these pop ups and re directs and have made options available to block pop ups. There is a new malware this month. It is a pop up malware that re directs the browser to another website.

This malware pops up and and displays images with links. It also has an exit sign marked with an “x”. If you click the “x” sign the image will close and another group of smaller adds will pop up at the lower right hand corner of your screen that says “Recomended for you”. It is not very intrusive but it is annoying.  There are sites however that does this kind of advertisement and are not malwares.

To know if your browser is infected by this malware, run a full system virus scan with your trusted and updated anti virus program.
